    lack modernity

More pros than cons, but still.

Charming decor that gave the feeling of a nostalgic getaway, along with friendly staff providing cute service.

As an older hotel, some areas may appear dated and lack modern upgrades.

The location was convenient as for me, not far from the restaurant, a steak house, and McLean. Superbly friendly staff who cared about me. It was huge, immaculate and with charming decor.

Some people working there were sticky.

The Cactus Inn has charming retro decorations that transport guests back to Route 66's heyday. I particularly adored the cozy and clean ambiance.

Bathroom could use more space for seniors.

easy access to route 66 attractions and charming retro decor

I really enjoyed the cozy and clean ambiance of my room. The friendly staff made checking in easy, and I loved being just a short walk from the McLean-Alanreed Area Museum and the famous Devil's Rope and Route 66 Museum, both fun to explore during my weekend strolls. The only thing I'd suggest is that it would be nice to have more dining options available nearby for a more convenient experience.
